Tucumán, Aug. 28 editorial

The Government of Tucumán formally called elections for all provincial offices for Sunday August 28 when Governor José Alperovich seek re-election with the national Health Minister, Juan Manzur.

The announcement was made by Alperovich amid controversy over the decision of the Administrative Disputes Chamber which declared invalid the article of the Constitution which provided that the Provincial Electoral Board (JEP) is composed of the President of the Supreme Court of Justice, the owner of the Legislature and the Attorney General, a position formerly occupied by the Public Prosecutor of the Court local judiciary.
